"Collage is Cool" Workshop

SKU: 4020

Create your very own collage at our "Collage is Cool" Class! Not sure what collage is? Let's start with a definition and a little history! A collage is a piece of art made by adhering various different materials, such as photographs, newspaper, wallpaper, cardboard, fabric, etc. onto a canvas or board. The term collage was first used about 100 years ago to categorize works by Pablo Picasso and George Braque and has been used widely by artists and illustrators like Eric Carle and Lois Ehlert since then.

Worried you're not a "known" artist or illustrator? No problem and no prior experience is necessary! We'll guide you step-by-step through the process of preparing paper(s) to use for your collage to create a truly one-of-a-kind artwork that reflects your unique style and aesthetics! If you have specific paper or paper products that you'd like to include in your collage; please, bring those along to the class to be incorporated into your artwork!
