Lampworked Glass Beads for Beginners
This class is an introduction to Glass Lampworking class- creating glass beads through the use of a torch. During this 3-week class, you will learn to operate a Mini CC torch, how to wind molten glass on a mandrel to create round, disk, and barrel bead forms, as well as techniques to create decorative patterns on beads.

*Students 12 and over may register for this class as long as their parent/guardian is also registered.
NOTE: A Supply fee of $15.00 must be paid directly to the instructor in cash at the beginning of the workshop for a small Glass Rod Kit that you will need to get started. As you begin to develop your own preferences of colors, you may continue to purchase glass in colors of your choosing from the instructor.
Glass Tools, Didymium Glasses, Bead Release, and Annealing Kilns are available for your use during class. Please wear closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and refrain from wearing loose sleeves.
Refund Policy
The Art Center does not provide cash refunds for classes or workshops unless the class or workshop is cancelled by The Art Center. To request a withdrawal from a purchased class or workshop, students must contact The Art Center a minimum of 7 days before the first day of class. Students who request a withdrawal will receive a class credit for the tuition paid for the class. Students who withdraw fewer than 7 days before the first day of class will receive a class credit of 90% of the tuition paid for the class. No refunds or credits will be issued once a session has started.
Please note: The Art Center is unable to provide class credit, make-up opportunities, or refunds, or prorate classes for students who miss class due to illness or personal scheduling conflicts. Class & workshop registrations are non-transferable.
